We both just had the house sirloin with the all-you-can-eat grilled shrimp. The whole meal was amazing! :) And to top it all off, our bartender Nick was phenomenal! He was professional and courteous, but most of all attentive. We will definitely be coming back soon! :))

I have not had a problem with this place and have been here several times. It's kind of a refuge from eating at Great Wolf Lodge and we have found the service to be friendly and the food quality to be solid for an Outback. I like the option of getting something healthy like grilled chicken versus something decidedly not, like cheese fries, etc. The steaks are fair and I have yet to have a problem with one of them. A reasonable choice for moms/dads who need to take a break from all the "fun" at Great Wolf Lodge and want a dinner outside of the park.

I expected a little more... Overall I found the location clean, spacious and my food was ok. I had the Bloomin Burger which was tasteful and better then expected, the bread served ahead of time was delicious and reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory. However my wife ordered a Prime Rib sandwich with mashed potatoes and said it was bland and tasteless and the potatoes tasted to boxed. For dessert I was expected more from the Cheesecake then a small tasteless piece with no Graham Cracker crust. Overall I enjoyed my experience but expected a little more..

Terrible food and even worse service. My husband and I both were sick after our meals! The hamburger my husband ordered was actually so raw it looked like seared wet meat from the package. After we had the waiter send it back, it returned looking like it was microwaved...and we still had to pay for it. We will never go back again! And will never recommend to visitors!

This is the worst restaurant I've visit in Traverse City. I went there with my girlfriend at noon on Sunday. It seems that the servers and chief are still in nests. We asked for the most highlight dish which is the shrimp with lobster, fried onion, French onion soup and a ice-cream. However, about 10 minutes later, the server came and told us they did not have shrimp for now, it is too early. What a hell?! Okay, so we asked for a steak after that. Another 10 pr 15 minutes later, the server came and said they did not have any steaks ready at that moment. We started laughing, what do you think if you go to a steakhouse which do not have steak? Finally, we asked for a baby back rib, while the server was waiting for us and even sitting on the sofa. About 5 minutes later, she brought us the fried onion which looked like cook for too long time. Some parts were already turn into brown. Suddenly, another server came and said to us," it seems our chief made an extra fried onion, you guys want to save or not?" My girlfriend said no thx. And she just took it to another table and told them it was the dish that we did not want. We were sooooooooooo surprised! How could she do this? We started to doubt whether our food was from another table.... I would say that the rib is nice though. And I will say never try the ice cream! It is just the brownie and cheesecake which are toooooooooo sweet. It will burn your throat! I will never ever go there again. Overall, the service is terrible and the food there is much worse what we expected.

Almost 6pm on a Monday and they have a good crowd. Small chopped salad was good, albeit a bit "limp." Seared Ahi tuna was good, with two dipping sauces, which were also pretty good. Coconut Shimp was ok, I've had better, but it wasn't bad or off, just nothing special. Service was excellent, which is why I am giving them 4 stars instead of three.

Update, went again for lunch. The food was good, the service was terrible. We had three for lunch, the third person got her food about 10 minutes after the first two. Bread was brought to the table with the food, instead of before. One person got the endless soup and salad, it took about 15 minutes and a second prompt from our table to get the second cup of soup. Very disappointed. Outback is usually one of my favorite restaurants, I don't think I'll visit the Traverse City location again for a long time.

Best chain restaurant in my book. I always walk out happy and full. Can't think of any complaints!

Um, wow! I'm not a big corporate restaurant kind of gal, I mean, I'll go, but I like those Ma and Pop places better. So when my man and I decided to go to Outback for a "nice" dinner was a little skeptical. It had been quite some time since I'd hit one of these joints and I couldn't remember if that was because of the price or an experience I had blocked from my memory. Well, if it was a bad experience, they wiped their slate clean with this one. The food was so good it's ridiculous. Our server was one of the best I have.ever.had.ever. We decided to call the manager over to tell him we thought everything had been great, I said, "We've both worked in restaurants and sometimes it's just nice to know that you're doing a good job, and you guys are. The food was fantastic and our server was superb." And he turned to me and said, "Thank-you for telling me, and I'll let him know you said so." Then he gave us a card for a free appetizer the next time we come in, thanked us again and headed off. We didn't even have to complain! I mean, come on, right?! I can't speak for other locations of Outback, but I highly recommend Traverse City's. And I'll definitely be sure to make it back in there to get my free appetizer.

Outback Steakhouses are pretty consistent. I always get the prime rib as it is a bit fatty, just the way I like it. I have had dinner guests that ordered the sirloin and didn't like it....so I would stay away from that and get a better steak. The sides are good, and the beer is cold. I don't have anything bad to say about the place as it is priced about right. Not too expensive but not cheap and it is all worth it. Its once of those places where showing up during the busy hours will mean you may have to wait a while but at this locations, you can make reservations. I would recommend it if you want to show up at 6pm on any day of the week.

I went for the first time with friends before a movie. The wait was long but they were busy. Once we were seated everything came pretty fast. I dont know whats up with the Bloomin Onion but I think it's dusted with crack. Same with the green beans! I could have eaten a whole plate of them! I had the 8oz. signature steak(13.95) with the green beans and a dressed baked potato. All of it was really good. The steak(med rare) was just a bit over peppered for me but didnt really stop me from devouring it all. The potato was perfect; butter, sour cream, scallions and bit o' bacon! I must say I liked it more than I thought I would for a corporate restaurant. It was more pricey than I was expecting but I think most steak houses are pricey. But I it was way worth it. Service was great too. She was also able to give good descriptions about the beers and wines in a way that let you know she wasn't trying to bulls$%t you. That's harder to find than you might think. We had less than 2 hours and there was 5 of us. We were served and out to our movie with half hour to spare and never felt rushed. Nice job.

I live in Traverse City and whenever I want a really good steak, this is where I go, even though I'm not normally fond of chain restaurants. I don't cook them at home and only have steak maybe every couple of months, so when I have one I want to totally enjoy the experience. Outback is consistently wonderful . . . great service, knowledgeable staff, my steak is HOT when it arrives at my table and only once was my steak overcooked. I don't even look at the menu anymore because I always order the 8 oz. sirloin cooked medium rare. Their steamed veggies are delish and the loaded baked potato is yummy. They also have a super-garlicky Caesar Salad which is a meal in itself. I haven't found steak anywhere in town that even comes close to Outback.
